In 2018, I began my journey to becoming a software engineer at the University of Oregon. Here, I focused on my foundations of Software Engineering. I learned a variety of Object-Oriented languages such as Python, C, C++ and covered functional programming too. I covered Data Structures/Algorithms, System Architecture, and A.I./M.L. courses.
The summer after my freshman year I became a Software Engineer Intern for Pacific Anesthesia, Inc. in Honolulu, HI. Here I learned how to develop real-world tools outside of the classroom. I spent the summer desigining an internal tool to collect analytics and data. Here I familiarized myself with the applications of RDBMS, package managers, external libraries, and the whole software development life cycle of desiging practical systems.
In Summer of 2021 after the pandemic began to ease, I started my second software engineer internship with Autodesk, inc. in Portland, OR. This was my first internship where I was developing on a team with fellow engineers. Here, I learned what it was like to develop software in a corporate environment. I practiced Agile and SCRUM methodologies, learned various current technologies and frameworks such as Django, Docker/Kubernetes, and React.
Now that I am finally graduated, I'm ready to take on the world and become a full-time developer. I'm currently doing freelance development where I'm able to apply the skills I've obtained over my years as a developer and build real-world websites, applications, and systems.
